POPIA Requests

A data subject may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or objection to the processing of personal information. The request should include enough information to identify the person, the record or processing activity concerned, and the right being exercised.

We may ask for proof of identity before giving access to personal information. We may refuse, limit, or delay a request where allowed by law, for example where disclosure would affect another person’s privacy, confidential business information, legal privilege, security, or statutory recordkeeping obligations.

Complaints

If a POPIA or PAIA request is not resolved, you may contact the Information Regulator of South Africa. The Information Regulator publishes PAIA guides, forms, and complaint processes on its website.
